The unveiling of the aircraft design was held at the Miyazaki Prefectural Government Office and was a joint press conference attended by Toshitsugu Kono, Governor of Miyazaki Prefecture; Kenjiro Ito, Chief Business Officer of Pokémon; and Kosuke Takahashi, President and Representative Director of Solaseed Air. Nassie also came to support and enliven the unveiling ceremony of the model plane.
Based on the corporate color of pistachio green, the aircraft is colorfully decorated with Pokémon such as Nassie, Alola Nassie, and Alola Raichu, along with the sun, waves, and bougainvillea-inspired flowers that remind one of Miyazaki. The specially painted aircraft will be in operation on all Solaseed Air routes for about three years starting in early March.
On January 18, Solaseed Air announced the launch of a specially painted aircraft, “Nassy Jet Miyazaki. This is part of the “Nassy Resort Miyazaki” project undertaken by Miyazaki Prefecture and Pokemon Co. The aircraft will be the company’s first fully painted aircraft, with the aim of attracting visitors to Miyazaki Prefecture.

The tree of Miyazaki Prefecture is a palm tree called “Phoenix. Therefore, Nassie and Aloranassie, two palm tree Pokémon that look like palm trees and are called “walking rainforests,” were appointed as “Miyazaki’s Favorite Pokémon” in October 2020 because they fit the image of the palm tree. Last year, an 11-meter-high “life-size” balloon of Alola Naschy was installed at Miyazaki Airport, making it Miyazaki Prefecture’s favorite Pokémon.
Solaseed Air’s regional promotion and aircraft utilization project “Sora Koi: Fall in Love with the City in the Sky” also operated the “Nassie Resort in Miyazaki” for about a year and a half starting in December 2020. On board Nassi Jet Miyazaki, seat headrest covers and paper cups will also be linked to the aircraft design. The aprons worn by flight attendants during drink service will also be specially designed. Two types of aprons, white and green, with the silhouettes of Pokémon characters that appear in the aircraft’s paint scheme will be available.
Kosuke Takahashi, President and Representative Director of Solaseed Air, expressed his ambitions in his speech, “We would like to promote Miyazaki Prefecture as a ‘Nassy Resort’ by flying this aircraft on the 14 routes we currently operate, so that people will want to fly to Miyazaki on this aircraft. I would like to make every effort to promote Miyazaki Prefecture as a “Nassy Resort” and to make people want to fly to Miyazaki on this aircraft.
In conjunction with this announcement, Solaseed Air has launched a special website for “Nissy Jet Miyazaki,” where you can watch a special movie.
In February, a “Nissy Jet Miyazaki Commemorative Campaign” is scheduled to be held, offering prizes such as round-trip tickets and a model plane of the Nissy Jet Miyazaki.
