Kyrgyz Republic Japanese Human Resource Development Center, Business Human Resource Development and Exchange Center Functional Enhancement Project

Posted on 2023-01-30 by Editor in Chief

Kyrgyzstan has not developed any significant industries other than mining, and many people, especially young people, are going abroad to work. The government of Kyrgyzstan has been working to develop small and medium-sized enterprises (export-oriented enterprises) in order to absorb the growing labor force domestically, but it has not achieved sufficient results, and the challenge is to develop industries with a comparative advantage and expand exports through these industries. In addition, it is necessary to promote business, including service industries such as sales and distribution, in order to strengthen export competitiveness. Under these circumstances, the Japanese government has continuously supported the Kyrgyz-Japan Human Resources Development Center (KRJC), which was opened in 1995, to develop local management personnel and strengthen relations between Japan and Kyrgyzstan. However, there is still a shortage of business managers with modern, market-oriented know-how and vision, as well as public and private sector support personnel for businesses, and it is necessary to continue providing support for the acquisition of know-how in business management and marketing. In terms of the business environment, Kyrgyzstan’s visibility remains low, and it is important to further disseminate information and promote the country through the exchange of human resources.

This cooperation will help establish KRJC’s function as a platform for industry-academia-government collaboration and business exchange by steadily implementing activities to make KRJC a platform, strengthening its human resource development function to contribute to the competitiveness of Kyrgyz companies, and improving its operational and financial infrastructure, thereby contributing to connecting various Japanese and Kyrgyz organizations, and This will contribute to bringing together various organizations and people in Japan and Kyrgyzstan.
