JR West will hold a series of events along its railway lines to commemorate the fact that all limited express “Kuroshio” trains will stop at Osaka Station starting with the timetable revision scheduled to take place on March 18.
At Wakayama, Yuasa, Gobo, and Kii-Tanabe stations, countdown boards will be installed from January 27 to the timetable revision to promote improved accessibility.
On March 18, the day of the revision, a round-trip tour on the “Kuroshio” between Osaka and Yuasa Stations will be offered, departing from both stations. Reservations will be accepted from February 3, and both tours are priced at 5,500 yen for adults and 2,700 yen for children.
In the Osaka departure plan, participants will transfer to a sightseeing bus upon arrival at Yuasa Station and enjoy a soy sauce making experience and whitebait fishing experience in Yuasa Town and Hirokawa Town. The Yuasa Departure Plan does not include an escort and only includes a round-trip ticket to Osaka, but it does include a 2,000-yen gift certificate for LUCUA Osaka, making it a great deal for a one-day trip to Osaka Station for only 3,500 yen (for adults). Reservations for the Osaka departure plan can be made through the website of Nippon Travel Agency, while reservations for the Yuasa departure plan can be made through the telephone number on the pamphlet distributed in Yuasa Town and other locations.
