Frame design by Umetaro Azechi/Hiroshi Manabe for “TeamLabo Camera” at Ehime Prefectural Museum of Art. Gestures to take selfie photos.

Posted on 2023-02-12 by Editor in Chief

Ehime Museum of Art will add two new frame designs themed on the museum’s collection to the “TeamLab Camera.

The TeamLab Camera is an interactive camera that allows users to take selfies with gestures. Simply stand in front of the signage and hold up your hand to take a picture. The photos can be downloaded on the spot from a QR code, imported to a smartphone, or posted on a social networking service.

This time, frames themed on two works in the Ehime Museum of Art’s collection, various works by Umetaro Azechi and Hiroshi Manabe’s “Garden City” will be available. In the frame for “Azechi Umetaro,” creatures come close to the visitor and can be photographed together. In the “Garden City” frame, the color of the visitor is changed to pink or yellow, making it possible to take a picture as if the visitor has stepped into the painting.

In addition, the frames of “Mikyan” and “Komikyan,” Ehime Prefecture’s image-up characters, and the frame of Sugiura Nonsui will continue to be available for photography.
