HIBIKINADA CAMP BASE, a campground in Kitakyushu City’s Hibikinada Greenland/Green Park, where you can also bring your own equipment

Posted on 2023-02-13 by Editor in Chief

Hibikinada Urban Outdoor Partners will open a campground, HIBIKINADA CAMP BASE (1058-11 Takenami, Wakamatsu-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture), in Hibikinada Green/Green Park on April 15.

After enjoying various activities at the Green Park, you can enjoy camping in the park at your leisure. A variety of sites are available, including “doggie sites” where you and your dog can stay together, and “empty-handed de raku camp sites” where the facility will take care of all preparations necessary for camping, such as setting up a tent. Events and workshops are also held to provide learning experiences through camping.

The zoning of the park is in harmony with the surrounding area and the wooded area, so that visitors can enjoy outdoor life in an environment as close to nature as possible. The central lawn area is a free site space, but it can also be used as a free space for events.

The administration building has an observation deck that can be accessed from the outside stairway to the rooftop area, offering a panoramic view of the campground from a height of approximately 7 meters above the ground. The building is a wood-based space with a café selling soft drinks and light meals, and a store. Rental items are generally available by advance reservation, and tents and other necessary camping gear are available.

The sanitary building is open to all camp site users. The sanitary building is equipped with toilets, showers, and a washing area with hot water available 24 hours a day. Fees start at 4,800 yen per lot for auto sites, 3,800 yen per lot for free sites, 25,000 yen per lot for “hand-me-down” easy-camping sites, and 11,000 yen per lot for doggy sites.
