Seibu Holdings announced that Ryuichiro Nishiyama will assume the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. His appointment is scheduled for April 1. Takashi Goto, the current president and representative director, will become chairman and CEO, making for a two-person representative director structure.
The company cited the move as an effort to strengthen and rejuvenate its management structure by establishing a two-person structure as it moves forward with reform and reorganization of its main business segments (urban transportation and rail line business, hotel and leisure business, and real estate business).
On the same day, Seibu Railway also announced the appointment of Shuichiro Ogawa as President and Chief Executive Officer; he will be officially appointed after approval at the general meeting of shareholders scheduled to be held in June.
