Tokyo Solamachi, February 22 “Cat Day” features cat items and cat sweets. Limited time store and photo exhibition also available.

Tokyo Solamachi will hold “Tokyo Solamachi Cat Day Selection” in conjunction with “Cat Day” on February 22. The period is from February 15 to 28.

In addition to selling cat items and cat sweets at various stores in Tokyo Solamachi, a limited-time store selling cat goods will be opened. A photo exhibition by Kenta Igarashi, a photographer known for his cat photographs, will also be held at the Museum of Posts and Telecommunications. In addition, on February 18 and 19, “Nyan Nyan Land,” where visitors can meet cats, will be held. Sanseido Bookstore will exhibit panels of original pictures of cat picture books by picture book author Naoko Machida.

The event will also collaborate with Imado Shrine in Asakusa, a power spot for love fulfillment and the birthplace of the beckoning cat. Special events are planned, including a dedication to the shrine of Imado Shrine of wishes solicited at special venues and on the website.
