The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Loan Agreement (L/A) of up to 30 billion yen with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on February 20 in Jakarta for the “Emergency Assistance Yen Loan for the New Coronavirus Crisis (Competitiveness, Industrial Modernization and Trade Promotion Program Loan)”. The Loan Agreement (L/A) was signed between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Republic of Korea for a loan of up to 30 billion yen.
By providing financial assistance to Indonesia, whose economy has been severely affected by the spread of the new coronavirus, this project aims to promote private sector investment by improving the business and investment environment in anticipation of the post-corona period, thereby contributing to economic and social stability and promoting development efforts in the country. The program will contribute to SDG Goals 1 (poverty eradication), 3 (ensuring healthy lives for all), and 8 (inclusive and sustainable economic growth).
