Fujikyu Corporation will open “THE GLAMPING Hakone Tokunitoge” (1400-20 Kuwabara, Kannami, Tagata-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture), a glamping facility with a 360-degree panoramic view of Hakone and Atami in the Tokunitoge summit area overlooking Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay, on April 1.

The name “Tokoku Touge” comes from the old names of the ten provinces, Izu, Suruga, Omi, Kai, Shinano, Sagami, Musashi, Jousa, Shimousa, and Awa, which can be seen from the top of the mountain. Fuji, the Southern Alps, Suruga Bay, the Boso Peninsula, and the Miura Peninsula from the summit on a clear day, and at night the twinkling of stars can be felt even closer.

Four types of accommodation villas are available on the premises: the “SAUNA Suite Villa” (capacity for 4 persons), which is limited to one couple per day and offers an authentic Finnish sauna experience, has a large skylight that opens to the sky inside the sauna room made of cypress wood. In addition, there will be the spacious “Suite Villa” (maximum capacity: 4 persons), which is approximately 24 tatami in size, the compact “SAUNA Villa” (maximum capacity: 6 persons), which is equipped with a sauna, and the “Sky Deck Villa” (maximum capacity: 6 persons), which has a rooftop observation deck. Each villa has an outdoor space for bonfires, so that guests can enjoy the star-filled sky at night.

All accommodations will be on a half-board plan. For dinner, a BBQ dinner course featuring ingredients from “Tokuni” will be served. Drinks at the TENGOKU CAFE in the summit area and the Tokunokuni Pass Panorama Cable Car are also available.

Rates are 36,500 yen to 58,500 yen for Suite Villa, 25,500 yen to 47,500 yen for SAUNA Villa, and 25,500 yen to 47,500 yen for Sky Deck Villa.
