Nishi-Tokyo Bus Introduces Three Large EV Route Buses. Operation without exhaust emissions mainly in Ome, Akiruno, Hinohara, and Hachioji.

Posted on 2023-02-26 by Editor in Chief

Nishi-Tokyo Bus has introduced three large EV route buses (electric buses) and will begin operating them in March.

The area of operation is Akiruno City, Hinohara Village, Hinode Town, Ome City, Hachioji City, Fussa City, Hamura City, and Akishima City. Aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which are considered a cause of global warming, the vehicles will be introduced as zero-emission vehicles that do not emit carbon dioxide or other exhaust gases when they run.

In addition, the entire bus will be a large electric facility, equipped with a function to supply electricity in the event of a disaster.
