Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release a new model, the GBD-H2000, from G-SQUAD, the sports line of G-SHOCK, on March 10. It will be available in four colors and priced at 55,000 yen each.
Supports a total of eight types of activities: running, biking, swimming, walking, trail running, gym workouts, and interval training. Six sensors (optical sensor, orientation, altitude/barometric pressure, temperature, acceleration, and gyro) measure information according to activity.
To improve wearability, the GPS antenna is built into the case for a smaller size and carbon fiber reinforced resin is used for the back cover, resulting in a 38% weight reduction compared to the previous model, the GBD-H1000.
It can measure the load placed on the heart and lungs, analyze energy consumption by the three major nutrients, and measure sleep. In addition, by linking with the CASIO WATCHES application, users can check detailed information such as activity records and advice based on sleep measurements.
