Mario and Pokemon float face-off for the first time in theme park history! In-depth Report on USJ’s NO LIMIT! Parade

Posted on 2023-03-07 by Editor in Chief

The day before the grand opening, a press preview was held, and we have plenty of photos to show you what it was like!

This “NO LIMIT! Parade” is the first parade in the park’s history to feature a Mario and Pokemon float all together amidst a variety of familiar park characters, including Minion, Snoopy, and Hello Kitty.

USJ (Universal Studios Japan) will launch on March 1, “Buttobe! Everyone plays a leading role in this super frenzy! Parade” under the theme of “NO LIMIT! It has been two and a half years since the datime parade at the park stopped in the summer of 2020 due to the Corona Disaster.

A new super-enthusiastic parade where guests can join in and dance together, and a total of eight floats, each with its own world view!

First off, let me tell you what I thought of the “NO LIMIT!” parade, it’s just so much fun, so much excitement! Too much fun! Not only the number of floats, but also the dynamic and fascinating shapes, dance music, and fascinating characters passing in front of you one after another. It is a frenzied parade that is sure to excite children and adults alike.

The NO LIMIT parade lasts about 50 minutes. It is fun just to watch it along the route, but the “Super NO LIMIT! Time” that starts when the parade stops on the route is amazing. The entertainers call for the guests along the route to move to the roadway and surround the float, where they can join in the “NO LIMIT! Dance” performance.

Guests hold a bubble wand, which sprays sparkling soap bubbles into the air, and at the climax of the show, lots of confetti is sent up into the sky. The characters, entertainers, and guests all work in unison to create an exciting experience that can only be experienced at USJ.

At the location where I was setting up my camera (across from Gramercy Park), the “Super NO LIMIT! Time” finally started just as the Sing Unit passed in front of me. Many guests gathered in front of the Mario Kart unit, which was the center of attention, and started dancing the “NO LIMIT! Dance. With the effect of soap bubbles spewing from the bubble wands everywhere, it was as if I had entered an unreal world.

Super NO LIMIT! The parade continued again when the time was over and the guests returned to the roadside. A gorgeous Mario Kart unit passed in front of us.

By the way, don’t worry, the super NO LIMIT! time is four times during the 50-minute parade and can be experienced on almost every route. Of course, the parade is free for everyone in the park. If you want to be “sure” to enjoy it! If you want to be “sure” to enjoy the parade, we recommend the “NO LIMIT! Parade Special Viewing Area Admission Ticket,” which is sold separately. This is a special viewing area in Gramercy Park where popular floats such as Mario, Pokemon, and Minion will stop in front of and to the left and right of this area.

The parade starts at 2:00 p.m. daily, but the start time may change depending on the season, so please check the show schedule.
