The parking lot reservation application “akippa” and GREEN FEELD will start a demonstration experiment of “akippa Harappa” in April in Shirakawa City, Fukushima Prefecture, using the akippa parking lot in partnership as an auto-camping site.
The use of akippa for purposes other than parking is prohibited, making it impossible to use the parking lot for overnight stays. However, focusing on the administrative issues faced by local governments, the company decided to conduct a demonstration experiment for use as an auto-camping site. The aim is to increase the number of people with whom the municipality interacts and relationships with, and to create an opportunity to connect people with the local community.
The experiment is classified on a trial basis into “BEV Camping Only Area” and “Camper Car Only Area” where visitors stay in tents powered by electric vehicles. Those wishing to use these areas must inquire through the “akippa Marche Inquiry Form.
