Yamagata Casio, a Casio group company, will release the Logoseasell 2, an underwater radio that allows users to talk while diving, on April 1. It is priced at 97,680 yen.
Logosease, launched in January 2013, is attached to an underwater mask for leisure use, and has been used in situations such as firefighting and police water rescue teams, diving operations at ports and harbors, and diving training at marine schools, as it enables underwater conversation with a regulator in the mouth through ultrasound and bone conduction.
The new product features an audible alert function that provides information on depth, water temperature, elapsed dive time, infinite pressure dive time, and oversurface speed warnings as measured by a newly installed sensor. The alert function can be linked to a dive computer worn on the wrist from previous models to provide voice and buzzer alerts, but the new product uses only the main unit. This allows the user to concentrate more on diving and work.
