Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation Bureau will release “Arigatou Type 5300 Toei Marugoto Kippu” on March 13, limited to 3,000 tickets. The price is 700 yen for adults and 350 yen for children.
The Toei Asakusa Line Type 5300 was introduced in 1991 at the timing of the start of mutual direct service with the Hokuso Kaihatsu Railway, and a total of 27 trains were built. It connected the Narita Airport area to the Misakiguchi area with a single train, but was retired at the end of its commercial service in February. The trains were equipped with VVVF control systems and LED destination indicators, the most advanced technologies of the early Heisei era, as well as air conditioning units to improve the air-conditioning rate on the Asakusa Line. The livery expressing the image of Asakusa was also carried over to the 5500 class.
A limited number of tickets commemorating this event are on sale. Tickets can be purchased from ticket vending machines at 18 Toei Subway stations (Gotanda, Shinbashi, Asakusabashi, Hibiya, Suidobashi, Sugamo, Takashimadaira, Ichigaya, Bakuro Yokoyama, Higashi Nihonbashi, Motoyawata, Ueno-okachimachi, Monzennaka-cho, Daimon, Daimon, Aoyama 1-chome, Tocho-mae, and Nerima).
