Chiyoda City Tourism Association and Chiyoda Ward will hold the “Chiyoda no Sakura Festival” from March 24 to April 4.
It is an annual spring event held around Chidorigafuchi and Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo, featuring the lighting up of the nighttime cherry blossoms along the 700-meter-long Chidorigafuchi Greenway and the nighttime operation of the Chidorigafuchi Boat Park, where visitors can enjoy the nighttime cherry blossoms from the water on the moat. The festival has been postponed for three years due to the Corona disaster, but will be revived for the first time in four years. In order to prevent infection and ease congestion, a real-time distribution service of congestion status using AI cameras will be introduced.
In addition, from March 17 to April 16, a “mystery-solving game” will be held for the first time, in which participants will travel around Chiyoda Ward. Those who complete the game will be selected by drawing for prizes.
