Hanshin Expressway, traffic congestion forecast for GW 2023: 32km from Naya IC to Mukogawa on the morning of 3-4th.

Posted on 2023-03-31 by Editor in Chief

Hanshin Expressway has compiled a traffic congestion forecast for the Golden Week period (April 28-May 7) in 2023.

During the period, heavy traffic congestion is expected to occur on the Route 3 Kobe Route, especially on the Route 3 Kobe Route (eastbound) on April 30 and May 2-5. On May 3 and 4, 32km of traffic congestion is expected on the Route 3 Kobe Route (westbound) from the Daini-Shinmei Road near the Naya Interchange to the Mukogawa River area.

During the Golden Week holidays in 2022, the maximum travel time from Nishinomiya to Kyobashi on the Route 3 Kobe Route (westbound) was approximately three times longer than usual, while the travel time could be significantly reduced by shifting the departure time. We hope that you will consider using the No. 7 North Kobe Route, etc., which avoids some of the traffic congestion by avoiding the peak period and time.
