NEXCO West Japan’s Kyushu Branch will begin selling the “Gyutto Kyushu Manitsu Drive Pass,” a round-trip discount plan exclusively for ETC vehicles, at midnight on April 1. The plan offers unlimited rides on expressways in seven prefectures in Kyushu (Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, and Kagoshima).
Previously available only for a limited period of time to coincide with the tourist season, the product has been changed to a year-round product. The two-day plan for a compact area (three neighboring prefectures) is 5,600-6,300 yen for a standard car and 4,500-5,000 yen for a mini car, while the three- to four-day plan for the entire Kyushu area is 8,400-10,600 yen for a standard car and 6,700- 8,500 yen for a mini car.
It is necessary to apply through the company’s website “Michi Tabi” before the start of expressway use.
Note that the Drive Pass has a cap on the number of times it can be used per plan, and the same ETC card can be used up to four times per year (from January 1 to December 31; four times between April 1 and December 31 in 2023).
