JR West will hold an event to commemorate the 100th anniversary on April 1 of the opening of the entire Yamaguchi Line and its terminus at Masuda Station.
The “XX no Hanashi,” which normally runs between Shin-Shimonoseki Station and Higashi-Hagi Station, will operate until Masuda on April 15, and from Masuda on the following day, April 16, as an extended travel product. The “DL Yamaguchi-go,” which normally runs between Shin-Yamaguchi Station and Tsuwano Station, will run to Masuda Station on April 16 as a travel product “Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the opening of Masuda Station and the full operation of the Yamaguchi Line. Both products will be sold and accepted by Nippon Travel Agency.
Other events are scheduled for April 16 at Masuda Station, including the simultaneous departure of the “DL Yamaguchi” and “XX no hanashi” at the same time.
