Toshiba Tec Corporation has introduced its Smart Receipt electronic receipt service to approximately 130 stores in the international and domestic areas of the New Chitose Airport terminal building.
By simply presenting the barcode in the Smart Receipt App at the cash register, customers can check the details of their purchases at any time on the app, whereas they used to receive paper receipts. This will also reduce the cost and environmental impact of issuing paper receipts.
To commemorate the introduction, a campaign will also be held: customers who spend 3,000 yen or more using the “Smart Receipt” between March 22 and April 21 will receive a 500 yen coupon that can be used at the next checkout at participating stores. In addition, customers who spend 3,000 yen or more at participating stores between March 22 and 24 and present their electronic receipt at the Center Plaza in New Chitose Airport will be entered into a lucky draw to win famous Hokkaido sweets.
