JR East will gradually renew the design of its Narita Express limited express trains starting in April.
The Narita Express has operated as an airport access express linking major stations in the Tokyo metropolitan area with Narita International Airport since its launch in 1991, starting with the Series 253 and using the “N’EX” train design, including the current Series E259.
The renewal of the N’EX will carry on the image of the airport access express that “N’EX” has created, while incorporating a silver color scheme on the front and sides of the first car to reflect the scenes of use and the changing scenery along the route.
