NTT QONOQ will open a showroom, XR BASE produced by NTT QONOQ, in JR Akihabara Station on March 30. Admission is free, but some events will be held by lottery in advance.
This is the first XR experience facility in NTT ConoQ in collaboration with East Japan Railway Company and East Japan Marketing & Communications, and is a space where visitors can experience the world of XR, including VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality), and MR (mixed reality).
NTT ConoQ offers a variety of services using XR technology for individuals and corporations, including the virtual live system “Matrix Stream” and the “XR World” metaverse, which can be easily played from PCs and smartphones.
The new XR BASE will also feature exhibits that allow visitors to experience services based on the latest XR technology. Visitors can enjoy virtual live performances using giant LEDs, a metaverse and digital twin that can be enjoyed with various devices, and contents utilizing MR technology with XR devices. More exhibits will be added in the future.
