Aeon Retail Co., Ltd. will open Soyora Hamamatsu Nishi-Iba (2300 Nishi-Iba-cho, Naka-ku, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture), an Aeon Mall-type shopping center, in the fall of 2023.
Located in Ichijo Town Nishi-Iba, a smart town to be created on the former site of the JT Hamamatsu Plant. Based on the concept of eco & sustainability, the specialty stores and town block will be integrated to form a growing community, including a decarbonization initiative aiming for 100% renewable energy and an experience for children to learn about the environment through shopping.
The site area is approximately 29,734 m2 and the total floor area is approximately 19,161 m2, with a parking capacity of approximately 450 cars.
The core store, “AEON STYLE Hamamatsu Nishi Iba,” will mainly target housewives and househusbands in their 30s and 40s, as well as single adults, and will be developed from the five perspectives of health, time-saving, local, price, and smart. The store plans to sell eco-friendly products such as label-less beverages and introduce “Cashi-Go,” a smartphone cash register that can be used by small children.
