The Fuji Shibazakura Festival Executive Committee will hold the “2023 Fuji Shibazakura Festival” from April 15 at the Fuji Motosuko Resort (212 Motosu, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture), operated by Pica, a Fujikyu Group company.

Fuji Shiba-zakura Festival is a springtime event where visitors can enjoy the collaboration of beautiful Mt. Fuji, a World Heritage site with lingering snow, and colorful shiba-zakura covering its entire surface (related article: “2023 Fuji Shiba-zakura Festival,” Kanto’s largest shiba-zakura festival with 500,000 plants. (Related article: “2023 Fuji Shiba Cherry Blossom Festival,” the largest of its kind in the Kanto region, with the British-style garden “Peter Rabbit English Garden” also opening for business).

This year, a “small boat traveling on the pink sea” will make its first appearance. Visitors can take pictures as if they are rowing on a sea of mossy cherry blossoms, and enjoy this as one of the two major photo spots along with “The Yellow Door of Happiness,” which became a hot topic on social networking sites last year.

Fuji Lava Karaage”, “Kikyo Shingenmochi Soft”, “Koshu Wine Beef Croquette”, etc. At the venue, take-out gourmet foods such as “Koppeban”, a peach butter and Koshu wine beef croquette sandwich from Yamanashi Prefecture are available.

Other highlights in the foot of Mt. Fuji area include the “Peter Rabbit English Garden,” which will open at the same time at Fuji Motosuko Resort, and the “Blue Garden,” where nemophilas will be in full bloom in “Lisa and Gaspard Town” adjacent to Fujikyu Highland.

A campaign will also be held to win a free pass to Fujikyu Highland and other prizes by drawing lots if you post photos taken at the Fuji Shiba Cherry Blossom Festival and Blue Garden on Instagram (from April 15 to June 28).
