Posted on 2023-04-09 by Editor in Chief

On April 21, UNIQLO will open the UNIQLO Maebashi Minami Interchange Store near the Maebashi Minami Interchange in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture.

Kashiwa Sato, who designed the UNIQLO logo, will supervise the store’s architectural design as the total creative director. Under the concept of “UNIQLO LOGO STORE,” the new store will offer a variety of services and spaces in addition to clothing shopping, with the aim of creating a new kind of store where customers can enjoy spending all day long.

The store will be adjacent to IKEA Maebashi, which is scheduled to open in 2024, and will have easy access from the Maebashi Minami Interchange on the Kita-Kanto Expressway, aiming to attract customers from a wide range of areas, especially the northern Kanto region.

The Maebashi Minami Interchange store plans to introduce a variety of services that UNIQLO has been offering at some of its stores in the past. The area to the right of the main entrance, named Flower Box, will sell about 30 types of flowers, starting with the UNIQLO PARK Yokohama Bayside store in 2020, and currently 15 stores, mainly in central Tokyo, and an online store are selling flowers.

The UNIQLO COFFEE BOX, located on the left side of the main entrance, will serve specialty coffee. 2021 marks the third store to offer UNIQLO COFFEE, following the UNIQLO Ginza and UNIQLO TOKYO stores. It is the largest space among the stores introducing the service, and is a space where customers can relax while listening to music.

The KIDS BOX, located to the far left of the main entrance, features a slide and bench cushions for children to play on. The UNIQLO GARDEN, a grassy area surrounding the 750-square-meter store, features original benches, desks, parasols, and other items, creating a liberating space where customers can spend time freely, whether resting, eating, or drinking.

UNIQLO STUDIO service, which has been offered on a trial basis at the Setagaya Chitosedai store since last year, will be introduced on a full-scale basis. UNIQLO STUDIO service, which has been offered on a trial basis at the Setagaya Chitosedai store since last year, will be integrated with the UTme!

In addition to embroidery and printing services on existing clothing, the company also offers services such as mending open holes and reattaching buttons. The company also plans to introduce a service to remake jeans, denim jackets, and shirts.
