Huis Ten Bosch will begin advance ticket sales for the “Kyushu’s Biggest Fireworks Festival,” which will be held from October 7, 2012, at 12:00 pm on April 22. Advance tickets for “Summer Night Fireworks” also went on sale on April 11.
This is one of the largest fireworks events in western Japan with 22,000 shots. Special tickets for spectators will be available to enjoy the fireworks from close quarters, including the ICHIHAKUDAMA (one large ball) competition by 30 famous pyrotechnics companies and the Giant Starmine, which shoots off 5,000 fireworks in five minutes, as well as accommodation plans at hotels directly managed by the festival site. The Nagasaki Kunchi Autumn Festival, designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Japan, is also scheduled to be held for three days from October 7 for the first time in three years.
