Ito-Yokado Lalaport Yokohama strengthens its children’s department with one of the largest indoor sandboxes in Japan and unlimited play with toys

Posted on 2023-05-012023-05-01 by Editor in Chief

Ito-Yokado opened a substantially renovated Ito-Yokado LaLaport Yokohama (4035-1 Ikebe-cho, Tsuzuki-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) on April 21.

The most significant point of this renewal is that the children’s section has been strengthened, and a time-consuming amusement element has been strongly emphasized as “TOYLO PARK. It has one of the largest indoor sandboxes in Japan, a giant sand hill slide that can be slid as much as one wants, and a corner where one can play with toys as much as one wants.

TOYLO PARK, which Ito-Yokado has been developing since 2021, is a floor for kids/family with amusement facilities in the toy, stationery, and preschool/school goods sales areas, and is offered as a time-consuming facility with the children-related sales area doubled in size from the previous one.

In the renovation of the Lalaport Yokohama store, a 3-meter-high sand hill slide was installed in the approximately 60 tsubo (approx. 200m2) indoor sandbox. Visitors can play for 200 yen on weekdays and 300 yen on weekends and holidays. There is also a space where visitors can try out a variety of toys, including dress-up dolls, dinosaur and animal toys, ride-on toys, infant toys, and block toys.
