On April 30, Hawaiian Airlines held a commemorative event in front of the gate of Fukuoka Airport’s International Terminal to mark the resumption of service on the Fukuoka – Honolulu route.
The event featured a ukulele performance by Caity, a koaloha artist from Kumamoto Prefecture. Debbie Nakanerua-Richards, Director of Community and Cultural Relations for Hawaiian Airlines, led a traditional Hawaiian prayer, “Oli,” to pray for the safety and resumption of flight operations.
Passengers on the first flight received a Hawaiian Airlines logo tote bag and a Kukui nut lei.
