The Okinawa Fest Executive Committee will hold “OKINAWA FES. 2023” at Yoyogi Park on May 13 and 14. Admission is free (with some fees).
The event introduces Okinawa’s “music,” “food,” “products,” and “traditions” through live performances by a total of 16 popular artists from Okinawa, a special outdoor class “Okinawa Blue Sky Classroom,” “island elephant elephant” making, “Ryukoso” fitting and photography, and other rich hands-on content.
In addition, more than 40 Okinawan restaurants will appear. Visitors can enjoy a variety of Okinawan dishes such as Soki Soba, Taco Rice, etc., as well as drinks and sweets. Rare Okinawan souvenirs rarely seen in Tokyo will be sold at the product stores.
