Shogakukan released the June issue of “Sarai” (1,250 yen), which includes a bird train mark tote bag as a special supplement.
Train nicknames such as “Hibari,” “Yuzuru,” and “Tsubasa” have been used because of their familiarity and agile image. Train marks with the names of 17 different birds, from the sleeper expresses of yesteryear to those taken over by the current Shinkansen, are designed on the bags.
It is approximately 39 cm deep and can easily carry long items vertically. The back side has Sarai’s original camel mark in the shape of a train mark.
The major feature is “Records Again. It will feature “record baths,” in which one’s entire body is bathed in music, Japanese technology hidden in vinyl records, and the latest equipment for the digital age. The program also introduces jazz cafes in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, as well as inns where you can savor classic vinyl records.
