While the “Studio Tour Tokyo Making of Harry Potter” is eagerly awaited for its opening on June 16, Warner Bros. Studio Japan held an event to celebrate the completion of the “Ministry of Magic” for the press on May 11. Film commentator LiLiCo and actor Ryo Kato appeared at the event as special guests, and they gave a heated talk in front of the set that recreated the world of the Ministry of Magic, which was very exciting throughout.
The Ministry of Magic is the primary governing body that administers and enforces the laws of the wizarding world as a governmental agency. In the play, Ministry of Magic employees used chimney-flight powder from phone booths, toilets, and fireplaces to get to work. In “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1,” Harry, Ron, and Hermione transform into Ministry of Magic employees and infiltrate the Ministry in a tense scene.
John Carsop, Assistant Construction Manager, appeared midway through the talk event. Mr. Cursop is also involved in film production and said, “The ‘Harry Potter’ series, which I have been involved with for over 20 years now, is the pinnacle of my career.
Mr. Carsop said, “There are so many beautiful sets here at Studio Tour Tokyo. Among them, I like the Ministry of Magic set the best. The Ministry of Magic set is actually not available at Studio Tour London in the UK. In other words, it will be the first of its kind in the world and will be available only at Studio Tour Tokyo.
LiLiCo asked, “The interior of the office building is amazing. Mr. Carsop replied, “It is a little different from what we actually used in the movie. The set used in the movie at the time was not as detailed as the one used in the movie. The set here is of excellent film quality.
