Kamoso Kachoen (110 Harasato, Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture) announced on May 15 that irises are in full bloom 10 days earlier than usual.
Usually the best time to see the flowers is from the last week of May to the middle of June, but this year they are encouraging visitors to “come a little earlier”.
The irises in the garden are “early-blooming seedling irises” and “ground-planted irises,” both of which bloomed early in 2023, with the early-blooming species blooming from the end of March and the old ground-planted plants blooming just after Golden Week.
