Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, a mountain tourism route connecting Toyama and Nagano prefectures, will hold the “Snowy Valley Festival 2nd STAGE” from May 22 to June 25.

In addition to the “Yuki-no-Otani Walk,” a walk through the huge snow wall created by clearing snow from the area around Tateyama Murodo’s “Otani” at an elevation of 2,450 meters, various events will be held at the “2nd STAGE.

The “Tateyama Murododaira Photo Spot with Mr. Yasto Inagaki,” in which participants walk around taking pictures with Yasto Inagaki, an official ambassador of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and a photographer from Toyama Prefecture, and the “Original Picture Postcard Stamp Rally” in which participants collect stamps from four locations to create a beautiful “Mikuriga-ike” in early summer. Rally” is also held.

This time of year is also known for the highest encounter rate of the year with grouse, a national natural treasure. Furthermore, June, when the probability of clear and cloudy days is high, is also the season when there is a high chance of encountering a star-filled sky and the Milky Way. If you stay within the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, you can fully enjoy the starry sky.

In addition, the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route also sells souvenirs unique to the area, such as the most popular snack “Hoshi-no-Shizuku” and Tateyama’s locally brewed beer “Hoshi-no-Sora”.
