On May 25, EcoFlow Technology Japan released the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max, a portable power supply with a capacity of 2048Wh. It is priced at 254,100 yen.
The company has been shifting from ternary lithium batteries to lithium iron phosphate batteries in order to achieve longer battery life, and the introduction of this product marks the adoption of lithium iron phosphate batteries in the entire capacity range.
It is the second highest capacity model in the company’s lineup after the DELTA Pro, and in addition to use in the home, it can be used in a variety of situations, including outdoor activities, overnight stays in cars, outdoor civil engineering and painting work, and use in kitchen cars.
In addition to the six AC outputs provided, there are four USB Type-A, two USB Type-C, one cigar socket, and two DC5521 ports for a total of 15 ports. The output is rated at 2000W, but the X-Boost function allows the unit to run appliances up to 2400W.
As for capacity, a 2048Wh battery is built in, but it can be expanded up to 6144Wh by adding two dedicated extra batteries (149,600 yen).
In addition, the X-Stream technology supports up to 1500W input for charging the main unit, which can be fully recharged in about 55 minutes to 80%, and in about 100 minutes. Solar input is also supported up to 1000W, and with dual AC and solar quick charge (2500W), the battery can be fully charged in about 60 minutes.
By applying copper plating and polymer processing to the interior, adopting a rubber non-slip base, and reviewing the internal structure, the product is approximately 30% lighter than similar products in its class. However, it is still heavy at 23.2 kg, and a special carrying cart (18,700 yen) is available.
In conjunction with the release, the company’s official online store is offering an early-bird discount of up to 25% off related products until June 30.
