Marriott International has launched a reciprocal point exchange program between Marriott Bonvoy points and ANA Mileage Club and JAL Mileage Bank.
In the case of ANA Mileage Club, the exchange rate varies depending on the number of transfers and the number of miles during the same fiscal year (April 1 to March 31 of the following year). Transfers are made in units of 10,000 miles, with a 1:1 ratio for the first and second 10,000-mile transfers, and a 2:1 ratio for the third and subsequent transfers.
For JAL Mileage Bank, the exchange ratio with Marriott Bonvoy is 4:3, with a minimum of 4,000 miles and a minimum of 3 Marriott Bonvoy points to 1 mile when converting Marriott Bonvoy points to miles. For every 60,000 points transferred, 5,000 miles will be credited as a bonus.
Eligible users must be members of the ANA or JAL frequent flyer programs and also be Marriott Bonvoy members under the same name. Once miles are converted to points, the points will automatically be reflected in the Marriott Bonvoy member’s account within 8 weeks. Once applied, no cancellations, changes, reissues, or re-conversion to miles are allowed.
