Tokyo Disney Resort will release new Tokyo Disney Resort Circulating Smile merchandise on June 22, 2012, which was developed using items collected at the parks. Sales outlets are at Tokyo Disneyland “Adventureland Bazaar” and Tokyo DisneySea “Steamboat Mickey’s”.
One of the “LET’S START WHERE WE CAN!” initiatives under the theme of “Earth-friendly and people-friendly,” the project started in July 2022. This time, the goods were upcycled from the cast’s costumes.
T-shirts (15,000 yen each) and canvas tote bags (18,000 yen each) that use appliques of costumes from the China Voyager and Polynesian Terrace restaurants at Tokyo Disneyland and Gondolier Snacks at Tokyo DisneySea, shoulder bag (19,000 yen) and tote bag (26,000 yen) that utilize the costume designs of the Nautilus Gift store at Tokyo DisneySea.
This is the first time that the original material has been used in the development of goods. The interesting feature of upcycled products is that no two costumes are alike, depending on the size of the costume and the location where the fabric is cut.
