Ryohin Keikaku will open “MUJI Super Center Okuwa Nanki” (3-11-19 Sano, Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture) in Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture, on June 9. This will be the fifth store in the prefecture, the largest sales floor area in the prefecture, and the first store in the Nanki area.
The store, which has the largest floor space in the market, is designed to be easy to shop by providing a wide sales area for top-selling products and a wide leading line that is easy to navigate, even with a cart. The store also carries frozen foods such as “kinpas” and “glutinous rice with edamame and salted kelp rice balls,” which are in high demand from customers.
In addition, the store aims to be closely connected to the community by selling regionally limited products, such as syrup developed using extracts from the seeds and peels of “Arakawa peaches,” a Wakayama Prefecture brand peach, and by holding “Tsunagaru Ichiba” events, such as marché sales and workshops, in cooperation with local producers and businesses. The company also holds “Linking Markets” in cooperation with local producers and businesses.
