NEXCO Central Japan closes some sections of the Chuo and other roads due to heavy rain

NEXCO Central Japan has closed some sections of the Chuo Expressway and other roads due to heavy rains caused by approaching typhoon No. 2.

As of 2:10 p.m. on June 2, the following sections are closed to traffic.

Chuo Expressway: Iida Yamamoto IC – Nakatsugawa IC (uphill), Ina IC – Iida Yamamoto IC (uphill), Ena IC – Mizunami IC (downhill)

Tokai Kanjo Expressway: Seto Shinano IC – Toki Minami Tajimi IC (in/out), Toyota Higashi JCT – Toyota Matsudaira IC (in/out)

Ise Expressway: Ise IC – Tamaki IC (up and down), Tamaki IC – Sewa-Taki JCT (up and down)

New Tomei Expressway: Shinshiro IC – Toyota Higashi JCT (up and down)

On the uphill section of the Chuo Expressway between the Iida Yamamoto IC and the Nakatsugawa IC, there was an inflow of earth and sand into part of the cut section, and the company is currently investigating the cause.
