NEXCO Central Japan and Central Japan Exis will reopen the Sakaimigawa PA (uphill) on the Chuo Expressway (E20) at 7:30 on June 14.

As the elevated bridge of the Linear Central Shinkansen Line is planned to pass over the commercial facilities of the Sakaimigawa PA (upstream), a new commercial facility will be established on the west side of the PA to cooperate with this project. The renewal will expand the size of the facility by 1.6 times, and will feature a glossy white exterior with an image of the Linear and an interior with a modern, Japanese-style, relaxed atmosphere.

The shopping corner “Sakaimagawa Marche” will sell Yamanashi Prefecture’s first craft cola “Koshu Craft Cola” and fruits such as peaches and grapes that are a staple of the “Fruit Kingdom Yamanashi”. The corner will also feature fresh vegetables produced in Fuefuki-shi and famous local souvenirs such as Kikyo Shingen mochi (rice cakes), making the corner rich in local flavor.

At the “Chateraise Highway Shop” sweets corner, Chateraise, a sweets chain headquartered in Yamanashi, will open its first store on the highway. It will sell factory-direct baked sweets (premium apple pie), cream puffs, ice cream, and Japanese sweets.

At the “Sakaimagawa Shokudo” food court, the number of seats has been expanded from 43 to 75, and electric outlets for recharging are installed at the counter seats. The menu includes the “Yaki-Usagi Set Meal (Large),” which features char-grilled dried horse mackerel, mackerel, hokke (hokke), and other large-sized dried fish shipped directly from Shiogama Port in Sendai, the “Shingen Hoto Hot Pot,” a local Yamanashi specialty, and the “Yamanashi Unagi Donburi,” a char-grilled eel bowl made with eel from Fuefuki-shi, Yamanashi Prefecture.

In addition, there is a baby corner with private rooms for nursing and diaper changing stations. All stores are open from 7:30 to 20:30.
