Airwave will begin airing new commercials “JAL Omotenashi” and “Recycle” featuring brand ambassador Mao Asada on June 16.
Prior to this, the company held a presentation. Mr. Honshu Takaoka, Chairman and President, gave a presentation on the highlights of the new commercial and the Airwave products used in JAL international business class flights.
Mr. Asada himself was also invited as a guest for a talk session with Mr. Takaoka. He talked about how excited he was to visit the cockpit and other places that are normally off-limits to the public during the filming.
Ms. Asada travels around the world for ice shows and other events, often taking long flights. Sleep is important for athletes, and she is a regular Airwave user.
At the presentation, Ms. Asada lay down on the in-flight seat prepared on the stage and reenacted the commercial scene. It’s so comfortable!” she sighed as she gave her impression. She expressed her impressions with a sigh, and appealed for everyone to experience the high quality comfort of sleeping on the seat.
According to Mr. Takaoka, the JAL in-flight mattress pad, which had been identical in specs, was recovered and the horizontal recycling announced in 2022 was introduced. He says that the new product is slightly thicker and upgraded with the same comfortable sleeping environment.
By reprocessing mattresses that are considered the most difficult to dispose of, such as those supplied in large quantities for the Olympics, Airwave has developed bedding that is friendly to both people and the environment. In order to promote these efforts, Mr. Takaoka said, “With the Corona settled and the momentum of the outing growing, we made a new commercial for the first time in a long time with the full cooperation of JAL.
The new commercial and making-of video will also be available on the official Airwave website and official YouTube channel.
