Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo Making of Harry Potter” is scheduled to open on June 16. This article introduces the “Moving Portraits of Hogwarts.
In the “Harry Potter” movie series, the corridors and staircases of Hogwarts Castle were decorated with many portraits of wizards and witches that moved and talked. At Studio Tour Tokyo, you can experience yourself becoming one of those portraits.
There are five camera stands next to the set that can be used to take video, and when an 8-second video is taken there, the recorded image appears in one of the portraits.
The staircase in the “Portraits” set moves, just like Hogwarts Castle. Although you cannot walk on them, the “moving staircase” is also a highlight of the set. Inside the set, there is a panel that explains how the filming was actually done.
