JR Tokai announced that the new arrival and departure chimes for the Tokaido Shinkansen will be switched all together on July 21. The new chime is “Aini Ikou” (composed by Taisei Iwasaki and sung by UA), the theme song of the commercial.
The new commercial, “Let’s meet, and we will change today.” depicts a businessman, played by actor Kento Kaku, on a business trip, with “Let’s meet” coloring various scenes in the station and in the train. Due to this change, TOKIO’s song “AMBITIOUS JAPAN!” (lyrics by Rei Nakanishi, music by Kyouhei Tsutsumi) currently in use will cease to be broadcast on July 20, the day before.
AMBITIOUS JAPAN!” is TOKIO’s 28th single, released in October 2003, and was created as a tie-up song with JR Tokai (it also reached No. 1 on the Oricon Charts). It became one of TOKIO’s representative songs that left a lasting impression on many people.
