Jetstar announced on June 19 the launch of direct flights between Narita/Kansai and Brisbane, Australia. This is the first time for the company to operate from Narita to Brisbane, and the first time in about 15 years and 4 months to operate from Kansai International Airport to Brisbane.
The Narita – Brisbane route will begin service on October 29, and the Kansai – Brisbane route on February 2, 2024. The Narita route will operate five roundtrips per week, and from December 3, it will operate one roundtrip daily. From December 3, the route will be operated with one daily round-trip flight.
In conjunction with this change, the Narita – Gold Coast route will be suspended on October 27.
The aircraft is a Boeing 787-8, with two classes: business class and economy class.
One-way fares (one-way) from Narita start at 29,500 yen for Economy Starter and 95,000 yen for Business Class, and from Kansai Airport at 27,970 yen for Economy Starter and 93,470 yen for Business Class.
In addition, to celebrate the opening of the new airline, a sale is being held. From Kansai International Airport, Economy Starter is 19,000 yen and Business Class is 62,500 yen (both one-way, no fuel surcharge). The flight period is from 5:00 p.m. on June 19 to 5:00 p.m. on June 26. The applicable flight period is from October 29 to May 31, 2024 for flights departing from Narita, and from February 2 to May 31, 2024 for flights departing from Kansai International Airport.
