JR Tokai Passengers will start selling ekiben “Anago-meshi” (eel rice) on June 22. The price is 1,400 yen. It will be available at Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shin-Yokohama, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Shin-Osaka stations, at the DELICA STATION in the Linear Railroad Museum, and at other station kiosks.
Carefully selected conger eel is fluffily grilled and served with a soy sauce sauce sauce flavored with huajiao (Chinese pepper), a seasonal delicacy. Seasoned rice is spread on the bottom of the dish, making it a satisfying dish.
Also, from June 22 to July 31, a campaign will be held offering a 50 yen discount off the total price when purchasing a 350mL or 500mL can of Asahi Super Dry or a 500mL can of Suntory Iemon Tokucha with “Anagomeshi”, and a 20 yen discount off the total price when purchasing a 500mL can of Suntory Iemon Tokucha. The discount applies to one beverage per bento, and cannot be combined with vouchers or other discounts.
