Saga Prefecture has announced that the deadline for national travel support has been extended to November 30.
While many municipalities have decided to end their nationwide travel support once and for all by June 30 (or mid-July), Saga Prefecture was one of the first to decide to extend it significantly.
The extended period is from July 1 to October 30 (including check-out on December 1), but not from July 22 to August 31 during the summer vacation period.
For reservations for July 1-21, direct reservations to the inns will be accepted from June 27, and travel agencies will accept them as soon as they are ready.
The nationwide travel support program itself remains unchanged, with 20% of the travel price (up to 5,000 yen per night for travel products with transportation/up to 3,000 yen for other products) subsidized, and electronic coupons (2,000 yen on weekdays/1,000 yen on weekends and holidays) that can be used to purchase souvenirs, etc. are provided.
Note that since the classification of the new coronavirus has been changed to category 5, it is no longer necessary to present proof of vaccination at check-in (identification is required).
