Tokyo Metro and the Urban Renaissance Agency announced the completion of the expansion of Toranomon Hills Station on the Hibiya Line, connecting it to the Toranomon Hills Station Tower (scheduled for completion in July) on July 15 and moving the ticket gates to the second basement level.
Toranomon Hills is a joint project between the two companies to develop the surrounding community, and with the completion of the Station Tower, construction of the extension is complete. The second basement level will allow smooth movement between the east and west sides of the station as well as between the ground and basement levels, and the station exit will be connected to the Station Atrium (approx. 2000 m2), a plaza in the Station Tower that is lit from the ground. The Station Tower itself is scheduled to open in the fall.
