ANA’s international flights at Haneda 2 Tamiami are about to reopen. The departure lobby is right in front of the runway! Open and airy design that creates a sense of excitement for travelers.

The history of the facility is detailed in past articles, but after the Corona disaster, it will resume operations again on July 19, starting with five flights per day. This article will therefore provide a new overview of this facility.

The facility was scheduled to begin service on March 29, 2020, before the spread of the new coronavirus became serious, and to operate on routes to North America, Europe, and Oceania, but operations were suspended on April 11 due to flight reductions and suspensions following the rapid pandemic. It was subsequently closed for approximately three years.

Departure flights from Terminal 2 (from July 19, 2023)

Flight NH859: Hong Kong (departing at 08:55)

Flight NH851: Taipei/Songshan (departing at 09:50)

Flight NH211: London (departing at 09:55)

Flight NH969: Hongqiao, Shanghai (departing at 10:05)

Flight NH853: Taipei/Songshan (departing at 13:20)

The international area of 2 Tami is located south of the existing domestic area; those familiar with 2 Tami will recognize the huge shutters closed behind security checkpoint D (clock tower #6). The international flight area is located behind it.

Incidentally, behind security checkpoint D is the international arrivals lobby, which is designed to facilitate international to domestic connections. The international departure lobby is located on the floor above it.

The international departure lobby has a dynamic design with an atrium spanning the third and fourth floors, and huge windows on one side provide a close-up view of the runway. The spacious floor is lined with self check-in terminals and automatic baggage drop machines, and the high processing capacity of the 13 self baggage drop machines (26 lanes) is particularly impressive.

At the far end of the space is a check-in area for ANA Mileage Club Diamond members and First Class passengers, which is separated by an automatic door to create a separate space.

Taking the escalator up to the fourth floor, there is a Starbucks Coffee store (opening date has not yet been announced), and there is a desk space where PC work can be done.
