ANA resumed operations at Haneda Airport Terminal 2 International Flight Area on July 19.
The facility was scheduled to begin service on March 29, 2020, before the spread of the new coronavirus became serious, and to operate on routes to North America, Europe, and Oceania, but operations were suspended on April 11 due to flight reductions and suspensions following the rapid pandemic. It was subsequently closed for approximately three years.
For the time being, the airline will operate five flights a day, with the international area operating from 5:00 to 13:30. The first flight on the first day of reopening after a three-year absence was NH859 to Hong Kong.
In addition, most of the food, beverage, and merchandise stores in the area have also reopened today, allowing passengers to take a break before departure, have a meal, or purchase souvenirs and sundries. For example, the Starbucks Coffee store on the 4th floor of the departure lobby remains temporarily closed, but the store in front of the gate on the 2nd floor after passing through security check is open.
