Adatara Kogen Resort (Okudake Onsen, Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture) will hold “Adatara Illumination” from July 29 to September 18.
Admission is 700 yen for junior high school students and older, 500 yen for elementary school students and younger. The combined ticket with the ropeway ride is 1,500 yen for junior high school students and older, and 1,000 yen for elementary school students and younger.
This event will be in its 12th year in 2023 and has become a summer tradition at Adatara Kogen Resort. In addition to last year’s popular “Summer Triangle” and “Cassiopeia,” other highlights include the illumination of summer constellations such as Libra, Scorpius, and Sagittarius, all of which shine brightly. In addition, “heart objet d’art” and “sunflower corridor of light” will beautifully illuminate Adatara-yama at night.
On specific days during the festival, the “LED Sky Lantern Festival,” a participatory event, will also be held. Lanterns in five colors (orange, pink, green, blue, and red) will be floated in the night sky. The event will be held on August 12, 15, 19, 26, September 2, 9, 16, 17, and the fee is 4,000 yen.
Fujikyu Rest House also offers refreshing menus perfect for summer, such as “chilled tantanmen”, “shaved ice soba”, and “adatara shaved ice soft serve”.
The popular letter-shaped churros, “Dake Churros,” have been joined by “Sora Churros” and are sure to be Instagram-worthy.
