Hanshin Electric Railway announced that it will gradually install security cameras in all of its fleet starting around September, aiming to have them in place by the Osaka Expo in April 2025.
Since May 2022, the company has been conducting demonstration tests by installing security cameras in some of its vehicles, and now that the practicality of these cameras has been confirmed, the company has decided to install them in all of its vehicles.
The security cameras to be installed in the new trains will enable real-time video and audio confirmation from the operation control room and other locations, enabling a quick response according to the situation.
